Beyoncé has been named the biggest pop star of the 21st century by Billboard, the music chart site announced Tuesday, as part of an ongoing series.

“Beyoncé is at the top of our editorial list for her entire 25 years of influence, impact and evolution,” wrote Andrew Unterberger of Billboard.

In its analysis, the publication wrote that Beyoncé’s spot at the top of its list is because the record-breaking Grammy winner is an artist and creator “whose commitment to innovation, evolution and all-round excellence has made her the benchmark for all.” “Other pop stars of this century have long been measured in the last 25 years”.

Beyoncé is the artist with the most Grammys with a record 32 wins and is expected to collect more trophies in January after picking up 11 more awards for her 2024 album “Cowboy Carter.”

The “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer also has a long history on the Billboard charts. She has nine number-one songs and 24 top-10 songs on the Hot 100. Katy Perry is at number 25, with other pop artists in between such as Bad Bunny, The Weeknd, One Direction, Miley Cyrus, Eminem, Usher and others.
