Billie Eilish fans in Glendale are upset because they had trouble getting to the concert

GLENDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — Some fans of Billie Eilish are upset after they were turned away from picking up a wristband before her concert at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale on Thursday.

This is after hours of camping outside.

This reportedly happened to all fans who did not purchase through Live Nation Ticketmaster and used third-party apps such as StubHub, SeatGeek and TickPick.

“In addition, hundreds of fans were crying. I was afraid for my friends. This has never happened at a Billie show before,” said Emily, a concertgoer.

Emily arrived at the Desert Diamond Arena and waited in line for hours for a chance to be the distance from Eilish.

She was one of the first in line to get her bracelet on Thursday, but her friends didn’t.

“They said, ‘If you don’t have that orange background, you won’t be on the show tomorrow.’ “Everyone who traveled here, from Missouri, my friend from New Mexico, it was just a crazy experience,” Emily said.

Tayson was one of those affected.

“I’m like, ‘Hey, I know I have a third-party app, but can you still scan it?’ And they say, ‘We can’t scan it, we can’t do any of it.’ And they basically kicked me out,” he said.

Tayson said he was one of the first in line Wednesday night and lost his spot after being turned away. He says the situation only got worse after that.

“I stayed here until about 3 or 4 o’clock because we thought they could sort things out. And then finally they threatened to trespass,” Tayson said.

After Tayson returned Friday morning, he finally received his wristband, but was not told what had changed to allow him entry.

We received a statement from StubHub, one of the affected third-party apps:

Arizona’s Family also reached out to Ticketmaster but received no response.

Their website states that they are trying to protect fans from scalpers and that all tickets should be mobile and that transfers should be limited where possible.

This comes as the Department of Justice is currently suing Live Nation Ticketmaster, alleging that the company is monopolizing the live concert industry markets.
