Bills QB Josh Allen played most of record-breaking season with broken hand: report

Josh Allen broke more than a dozen NFL records this season. They aren’t the only things he broke.

According to NFL.com reporter Ian Rapaport, the Buffalo Bills quarterback played most of the season with a broken left hand.

National media members and NFL executives are ready to present Allen with the MVP trophy, and that was before news broke that he had broken his hand.

Allen suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of Buffalo’s Week 1 win over the Arizona Cardinals. He flew over a Cardinals defender and plunged into the end zone for a 6-yard touchdown run. Be The right elbow landed on his left hand as he landed on the ground. Allen’s hand and wrist were tapped by team trainers, but he didn’t miss any plays.

“I’m fine,” Allen told reporters after the game, adding that he will undergo X-rays and further tests. “I’m not a doctor, I just landed on it.”

Allen was listed on the injury report the following week but was a full participant every day. He has the longest active consecutive starts streak by a quarterback and 13th all-time with 112 consecutive starts (102 in the regular season and 10 in the playoffs).
