Black Doves Ending Explained: Who Killed Jason?

Major spoilers for Black Doves. If you haven’t seen the sixth and final episode, “In the Bleak Midwinter,” turn back now!

After exciting six episodes Black pigeons ends with answers to the death of Jason (Andrew Koji), setting up a gripping second season.

The reveal of who killed Jason – and why – comes midway through the finale, as Helen (Keira Knightley) and Mrs. Reed (Sarah Lancashire) discuss what happened after she confronts the Clarks about Sam (Ben Whishaw). has. and how it is connected to the assassination of the Chinese ambassador and the disappearance of his daughter Kai-Ming (Isabella Wei).

Helen’s lover Jason is killed in the first episode – setting her on the path to revenge and justice.

“In the end it was just a scared boy from a very dangerous family,” says Helen. “Trent Clark pushed the ambassador. He fell and hit his head. Trent panicked. He came back an hour later, called his mother, who called Stephen Yarrick, and the whole cover-up began.”

Mrs. Reed replies, “If an organization like the Clarks were involved in all of this, that would have been bad enough in itself. But what the Chinese didn’t know and what the CIA didn’t know was that someone was watching the ambassador’s family. Someone nobody knew. Someone very close to Kai-Ming.” Maggie, she explains, sold stories about Kai-Ming to the tabloids and was recruited by MI5. She soon planted a camera in Kai-Ming’s apartment, and when Maggie reviewed the footage to learn what had happened to the ambassador, “the poor girl saw something several miles above her pay grade,” says Mrs. Reed.

Maggie’s mistake that led to her death was that her tabloid contact Phillip also had access to the footage. “And after Phillip saw it, it was to stop him from doing something stupid, which of course she couldn’t do, and Phillip went looking.” So Trent Clark followed Phillip and saw him hooking up with Maggie and Jason scored to cover up his mistake. Mrs. Reed explains to Helen that Jason also worked for MI5 – but he didn’t betray Helen.

However, when Jason and Helen began their affair, he did not reveal what role she played in the Black Doves. “The day before his death, Jason filed a report with his superiors, informing them that after a thorough investigation, he could find no evidence that you were a spy. And in fact there is nothing to suggest that you were anything other than a loyal citizen and wife,” says Mrs. Reed. “And it saved you. He saved you at great risk. And that sounds a bit like love to me.”

The Black pigeons In the finale, Wallace becomes Prime Minister in the upcoming second season.

Mrs. Reed then reveals that the Prime Minister will be stepping down in the spring and that Wallace (Andrew Buchan), Helen’s husband, will be next in line. “It’s nice, you know, Number 10,” she says, referring to the Prime Minister’s residence at 10 Downing Street. “It needs a coat of paint and the central heating often breaks down in the winter; But I think you and the kids will like it. And there are 24-hour guards too.” Then Helen decides to continue working for Black Doves – setting up a second season in which she appears even more on the inside as the Prime Minister’s wife.

The final scene of the season shows Helen, Wallace and their children celebrating Christmas. Sam comes over to join them. Wallace and Helen have reconciled and it appears they will stay together for the time being. Sam has decided to stay in London, work for Hector (Luther Ford) and find out if he can see Michael (Omari Douglas). “I’m going to stay here for a while,” he says to Helen. In the final line of the season, Sam says to her as they watch the snow fall, “People like you and me, darling, we don’t get to ride off into the sunset. But we can stay close and watch the stars come out. And that’s not nothing, I suppose.”

Keira Knightley’s Helen finally gets the answers she’s been looking for in the finale of “Helen.” Black pigeons.

Quick, let’s stop the other thing here Black pigeons Characters: Kai-Ming is happy and celebrates the holidays with assassins Williams (Ella Lily Hyland) and Eleanor (Gabrielle Creevy). Michael is with his daughter and friends, opening presents under a Christmas tree. And Mrs. Reed, drinking a glass of champagne as she looks out over the London skyline, sees a young woman – possibly the Black Doves’ newest recruit? – sits worriedly on a couch behind her.

And now we are patiently waiting for the second season of Black pigeons.
