Baldoni’s attorney Bryan Freeman said TMZ that Lively’s lawsuit was filed to “improve her negative reputation.”

The lawyer added that Lively caused problems on the film set by “threatening not to show up on set and threatening not to promote the film, which ultimately led to its downfall during release.”

The Independent has reached out to representatives for Baldoni and Lively for comment.

On TikTok, one user pointed out that Lively and Baldoni didn’t take a photo together at the film’s premiere in August. Meanwhile, others noticed that neither Lively nor Reynolds follow Baldoni on Instagram.

Despite the ever-present feud rumors, Baldoni praised Lively during an appearance on the Today show and called the star a “dynamic creative.”

“I think she’s best known as an actress, and of course she’s a fashion icon, but she’s so much more than that,” he said.

“She is a dynamic creative. She was involved in every part of this production and everything she touched was improved.”
