Blake Snell signs a five-year, $182 million contract with the Dodgers

Left-handed pitcher Blake Snell has reached an agreement with the Dodgers.

The former Giants starter agreed to a five-year, $182 million contract on Tuesday night. The Post’s Jon Heyman confirmed this.

The deal, which has no opt-outs, is still in the contract stage and Snell will receive a $52 million signing bonus, according to Heyman.

The deal does not contain a no-trade clause, but according to Heyman there is a transfer bonus in the event of a trade and there are deferrals.

The Dodgers rotation will feature the left-hander along with a presumably healthy Shohei Ohtani, Tyler Glasnow, Clayton Kershaw, Dustin May, Tony Gonsolin and Bobby Miller, and LA is the favorite to sign Roki Sasaki, Heyman reported.

It is believed that one of the teams the Dodgers defeated because of Snell’s services was the Red Sox.

According to Heyman, the Yankees had a Zoom call with Blake Snell earlier in the day, but their focus is almost entirely on Juan Soto as their Plan B will have to wait a bit.

The former Cy Young winner is coming off a season in which he went 5-3 with a 3.12 ERA in 20 starts for San Francisco.

Snell – who is 76-58 with a 3.19 ERA in his nine-year career – struck out 145 batters in 104 innings pitched and managed to turn things around in the second half of the season after a slow start to the year due to injury.

The left-hander had a 9.51 ERA in six starts through July with the Giant.

He returned from an IL stint in early July and posted a 1.23 ERA in his final 14 starts of the season.

Snell entered the offseason as one of the best free agent armies on the market.
