The Denver Broncos have the second-best ATS record (9-3) and have outscored their last two opponents, the Atlanta Falcons and Las Vegas Raiders, 67-25.

One of the positive surprises of the season: The Broncos are a strong three-win favorite against the Cleveland Browns.

Cleveland has already won more games with quarterback Jameis Winston (two) than with Deshaun Watson (one) under center.

With Winston at the helm, the Browns are a turnover-prone team, but they are also capable of covering spreads because of his aggressive passing propensity.

Still, our panel came to its only unanimous decision in favor of the Broncos in Week 13. Sobleski believes Winston will make crucial mistakes if they lose by at least a touchdown.

“The Browns offense is not designed to handle the Broncos defense. Denver is currently ranked third overall in scoring defense. More importantly, Vance Joseph is one of the most aggressive players in the league and most successful at harassing opposing quarterbacks. The Broncos are currently leading the NFL.” A total of 44 sacks will almost certainly force quarterback Jameis Winston to make mistakes, which he is prone to anyway.

“Cleveland’s wide receivers don’t pose much of a threat to Denver’s secondary. If the Browns feel they can rely on a resurgent Nick Chubb, the Broncos also field a top-six run defense. As long as rookie Bo Nix continues to play like this.” He has Sean Payton, Denver is clearly the better team.
