Blue hose cut off by Wildcats

DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Presbyterian College women’s basketball team (0-6) lost on the road Sunday night to the Davidson Wildcats (3-3) by a final score of 81-39.

HOW IT HAPPENED

First quarter
After Davidson opened the game with a seven-point lead, Paige Kindseth ended their streak with a layup and got the Blue Hose on the board. A few free throws helped Presbyterian’s tally, but the Wildcats finished the first quarter with a 21-6 lead.



Second quarter
Kindseth got an early jump in the second quarter, but Davidson extended its lead to 27-8. The Blue Hose went on a 9-6 run Teresa Mbemba led the charge with five counts and Natalie Mistress added a layup. Davidson sent us into halftime with a 38:17 lead.



Third quarter
The second half started evenly, with both teams scoring five points, with Mbemba scoring all five for the Blue Hose. Despite a layup from Aminata valleyThe Wildcats were able to extend their lead to 55-24. Mistress added another bucket and Morgan Boyds Buzzer beater ended the third quarter, but Davidson led 66-31.



Fourth quarter
The Blue Hose didn’t let up as Mbemba’s four points led them to an 8-4 series at the start of the final quarter. Davidson scored the final 11 points of the quarter to finish the game 81-39.



NOTEWORTHY
– Mbemba ended the evening with a personal best of 16 points.

The Blue Hose are back on the road for a game against ETSU on Wednesday, November 24th at 7:00 p.m
