Bo Bassett recruiting update: No. 1 wrestling prospect reveals top 10 schools

Bo Bassett has finally arrived at its top 10 schools and the No. 1 wrestling prospect in 2026 revealed them with its latest graphic on Thursday.

Bassett, a Pennsylvania state champion and U20 world bronze medalist, is a native of Bishop McCourt HS (Pa.). Arguably one of the best high school teams assembled in 2024-25, Bassett is the headliner when it comes to college wrestling recruits.

After completing his final fall visit to Oklahoma State last week, Bassett only has one more visit scheduled for January Rutgers. As the high school wrestling season begins, Bassett revealed his top ten schools.

Arizona State has been removed from this week’s graphic as Bassett is finally in the top 10. The top prospect originally gave virtually every Division 1 program a chance at his services. He has been transparent since the summer, giving weekly updates to the wrestling world.

“Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths,” Bassett wrote in his graphic.

Bassett’s remaining schools are: Virginia Tech, Cornell, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Rutgers, Iowa State, Pitt-Johnstown, Iowa and Oklahoma State.

As a reminder, here is the Bassett visit schedule:

25-27 Oct.: Iowa (completed)
1st–3rd November: Penn State (completed)
8th–10th November: Ohio State (completed)
15th-17th November: Virginia Tech (completed)
