Bo Nix followed Jameis Winston’s lead with the funny request to defend the Browns

Bo Nix modeled himself on Jameis Winston’s play as the two quarterbacks went head-to-head Monday Night Football.

When the Denver Broncos got stuck on a fourth down and short late in the third quarter, Nix went to the line to count hard and try to take advantage of the Browns’ defense’s offside positions. They didn’t move, and before the game clock reached zero, Nix made one final plea.

“Jump offside!” Nix shouted before heading back to the sideline.

Nix’s attempt wasn’t the first hilarious question a quarterback asked a defense at the line of scrimmage. Winston did something similar when his Browns faced the Pittsburgh Steelers on November 21st.

Winston telling the opposing defense, “Somebody jump offside, damn it,” is one of the many bizarre moments from the NFL’s best personalities. Now we may be witnessing the birth of a new trend across the league that is already impacting one of the best rookie quarterbacks.

Nix’s Broncos (7-5) and Winston’s Browns (3-8) gave MNF an exciting shootout and lots of charisma.
