Bo Nix praises fans for taking over Raiders stadium

It didn’t feel like an away game when the Denver Broncos took on the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Denver fans could be heard chanting “Let’s go, Broncos!” The stadium was covered in orange during the game in Week 12. Many of the Denver fans who traveled with us moved to the lower bowl towards the end of the game.

After a 29-19 win, Broncos quarterback Bo Nix was full of praise for the team’s fans.

“(There was) a lot of orange in that stadium,” Nix said in his postgame press conference. “When you can go out on the street and see a lot of your fans, it’s almost half, they’re cheering, it becomes almost a neutral environment. That’s good. If you can accept the chaos, the noise and the atmosphere and relieve your team of it, that’s really important. When we make good plays, when we have explosives or turnovers, it almost becomes a mini home game.

“But it’s nice to see that we have a great fan base. Good to see they are traveling well. It’s nice to see that even though we’ve had some problems throughout the season, they’re still right behind us. Now we’re on a two-game winning streak. It’s crazy how it can turn around. The audience and the atmosphere are a huge advantage, as they have shown and proven. We will always need that. I’m glad I’m at an organization that has that.”

Nix and Co. are now returning home to host the Cleveland Browns Monday Night Football in Week 13. Fans in Denver will give the Broncos an even warmer welcome when they play at Empower Field at Mile High next week.
