Just two days after winning the Mountain West title, Boise State received great news from the College Football Playoff committee.

The Broncos earned a third-place finish in the 2024 College Football Playoff round, giving Spencer Danielson’s team an extended break before competing in the Fiesta Bowl.

Boise State’s 21-7 win over UNLV was a nice end to a 12-1 season. The Broncos didn’t have elite strength compared to some other CFP contenders, but their only loss came on Sept. 7 against top-seeded Oregon, a 37-34 thriller decided by a last-second field goal.

Tickets for Boise State’s College Football Playoff quarterfinal game are available on StubHub.

On Sunday, December 8th, the cheapest tickets were around $220. If you’re looking for the best views, 100 level tickets are still available, but of course these tickets start at a much higher price.

When does Boise State play its playoff game?

• Date: Tuesday, December 31st
• Time: 7:30 p.m. ET

The 2024 Fiesta Bowl begins on Tuesday, December 31st at 7:30 p.m. ET. The game will be played at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Boise State plays the winner of No. 6 Penn State vs. No. 11 SMU CFP quarterfinal game.

The winner of the Fiesta Bowl will then play in a College Football Playoff semifinal game on either Thursday, January 9th or Friday, January 10th.
