Bow Wow has some doubts about his relationship with Travis Hunter.

On Thursday, December 19, the rapper/actor took to social media to give the Colorado Buffaloes star some advice. The 37-year-old rapper said he doesn’t typically get involved in “other people’s business,” but claimed he saw some concerning things involving Hunter’s fiancée Leanna Lenee.

“I was watching from a distance,” Bow Wow began. “I was once young, about to make a lot of money, and I know how that shit works. So you have to listen to me. #1: I don’t want you to feel like everyone is out to get you or that cats hate you. It’s that young n***a mentality. I want you to see this as if Nigsten cares about you.”

Bow Wow reminded Hunter that he would have the rare opportunity to play in the NFL and receive “the biggest check of his life.” However, he questioned whether the 2024 Heisman Trophy winner made the wrong decision when he proposed to Lenee.

“We’re just waking you up, young brother,” he continued. “Because if you don’t understand what the fuck is going on, guys… If we didn’t give a fuck, we’d have you eliminated, but from one player to the next… I’m not going to tell you what you’re doing, but I want that you open your eyes, man.”

Bow Wow pointed to a circulating screenshot that allegedly showed Lenee’s flirtatious comment on Anthony Edwards’ Instagram page. The image turned out to be fake and was originally shared by the infamous X parody account, @TheNBACentel.

“There’s no reason why she’s commenting on another n***a’s page…with heart eyes and her fucking money tongue sticking out,” Bow Wow said of the fake interaction. “This is your fiancée. Wake up, young brother. Engaged people don’t move like that… It’s like being so caught up in love. I don’t think this woman loves you that much at all. You have to pay attention to the signs.”

Bow Wow also referenced Lenee’s recent TikTok in which she stated that Hunter wasn’t originally her “type.” She later clarified that the comment had nothing to do with physical attractiveness but was more about his character. Lenee claimed she ignored Hunter’s DMs for about two months because he had a girlfriend at the time. However, it appears that Bow Wow never heard this explanation.

“This woman said you weren’t even her type,” he said in the video. “So what the hell is keeping you here? You may be young, but you have to ask a few questions… I want you to live your life. You’re young, man. Do you know how many women have accused you? You are the Heisman Trophy winner. I can’t give you better advice than I can… I’ll tell you from my own experience. Brother, there are going to be so many women throwing this thing at you that you won’t be able to refuse.”

Bow Wow then told Hunter to “grab the ring back” and “focus on what matters.”

“It’s hard to get your shit together when you have a woman with you,” he continued. “Bro, you’re in the media more for the general public than for winning the Heisman…Wake up.”

Additionally, Hunter recently donated his zero endorsement income to his Buffaloes teammates. After learning about his charity, the young football star earned praise from Deion Sanders Jr. on the show Zero 2 sixty Podcast earlier this week.
