BREAKING: Devil’s Advocate Sports Grill is closing its doors after 15 years

Devil’s Advocate Sports Grill posted on Instagram that it will be closing on December 28th. After serving the Tempe community for 15 years, the restaurant is selling its long-term lease back to the property owners.

Devil’s Advocate will cease operations to accommodate Aspirant Development, a Scottsdale-based division of Empire Group, and its new project. The company plans to demolish the Sports Grill and warehouse next door to build new luxury apartments for well-paid residents.

Jarred Stetser, the Sports Grill’s owner and ASU ’04 graduate, had no plans to sell the eatery until the lease ended in September 2029.
