Brewers fan favorite Willy Adames signs a massive contract with the Giants

Willy Adames’ tenure as a Milwaukee Brewer is officially over.

Adames finally fulfilled what had been expected for months and found a home elsewhere in free agency, reportedly signing a seven-year deal with the San Francisco Giants on Saturday afternoon.

The 29-year-old shortstop is reportedly set to make $182 million over the life of his contract, a price the Brewers made clear they would not pay.

Adames, acquired in a trade from Tampa Bay in the 2021 season, had a .780 OPS with 107 home runs in four seasons with the Brewers and not only excelled on the field, but also became a fan favorite and club leader off it.
