“My husband is very neat, which people wouldn’t expect from someone who’s a musician,” she told “Off the Vine” podcast host Kaitlyn Bristowe in an episode posted Thursday. “You would expect him to be a fucking nightmare, dirty. ….He doesn’t shower much, but he’s very tidy.”

This caught Bristowe’s attention.

“Don’t shower much?” she inquired.

“Yeah, the showers aren’t particularly important,” Furlan replied.

The guest attributed Lee’s sparse laundry schedule to the fact that he was born in Athens to a Greek mother.

“He said growing up… that’s a thing in Europe. “You don’t have to shower every day,” she said. “They would just use the white washcloth if they felt like they were a little fancy. … My husband showers about once a week.”

The rocker, who went on to co-found one of the most important metal bands of the 1980s, isn’t the only celebrity out there making headlines with a different take on personal hygiene.

Jake Gyllenhaal once explained, “I think that sometimes bathing is less necessary.” Robert Pattinson seemed to forgo regular hair washing for a while. And Ashton Kutcher seemed to advocate targeted cleanliness. “I wash my armpits and my crotch every day and never else,” he said.
