Like his older brother Bronny James, Bryce plays his high school basketball at Sierra Canyon School in Los Angeles.

Per 247SportThe 6-foot-1, 190-pound guard is a three-star recruit ranked as the No. 257 overall player and No. 46 shooting guard in 2025.

According to 247Sports, James also received scholarship offers from Ohio State and Duquesne, and Bronny’s former school, USC, also expressed interest at one point.

Considering his father is one of the greatest basketball players of all time, Bryce has been in the spotlight for a long time, but isn’t as highly touted as Bronny was out of high school.

At the time, 247Sports ranked Bronny as a 4-star recruit and the No. 28 overall prospect in the country, and he was expected to break out in the college ranks at USC.

A heart condition caused Bronny to miss the first eight games of his freshman season, and when he returned to action, he struggled to establish himself as a contributor, averaging 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.8 rebounds in 25 contests 2.1 assists per game.

Despite his struggles, Bronny entered the 2024 NBA Draft and went 55th overall for the Lakers. He and LeBron became the first father-son duo in NBA history to play in a regular season game together.

It’s possible that Bryce could take a similar path, but he seems like an even bigger project than Bronny, meaning he could spend several years in school.

At Arizona, Bryce joins an elite college basketball team that won the 1997 national title and reached the Final Four four times.

The Wildcats have reached the NCAA Tournament each of the last three seasons and have made it 35 times since the 1984-85 season.

Arizona is off to an uneven 7-5 start so far this season, but already has a big commitment for next season in the form of winger Dwayne Aristode, who is a 5-star prospect and the No. 14 overall player Great, according to 247Sports.
