The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made a bold decision to sign a running back after Rachaad White totaled over 1,000 yards in a season. The former Sun Devil seemed set up for long-term success with the team, but the arrival of Bucky Irving put paid to that.

Now, 13 weeks into the 2024 NFL season, Bucky Irving has not only arrived on offense but is also preparing to become the team’s future.

There was a point in the year where Irving couldn’t even manage more than 10 touches in a game, but in consecutive weeks he’s shown he can handle a heavier workload. A career day against the Panthers, coupled with a strong performance in Week 12 against the Giants, sees Irving as the future of their offense.

He had a total of 337 yards and two touchdowns offensively in the last two games. He is now at 1,017 total yards on the year and is one of the biggest reasons this Bucs offense is one of the best in the NFL despite the absence of Chris Godwin.

Next up is the Las Vegas Raiders, who are giving up 4.3 yards per carry, so he’s in for another strong performance on Sunday.
