Bundesliga: BVB game against Leverkusen starts later! | sport

The impetus of Bundesliga game Borussia Dortmund against Bayer Leverkusen has been moved from 8:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.!

The reason for this is the high volume of traffic around the stadium.

BVB announced this around 50 minutes before the actual kick-off.

Sports director Sebastian Kehl at DAZN: “We had so much traffic. I’ve never experienced that before.”

And further: “Unfortunately the police didn’t help us.”

Sports director Lars Ricken (48) also commented on Sat.1: “The hotel is 10 kilometers away from here.” But there was traffic chaos in front of the stadium. Unfortunately the police couldn’t help us.”

The traffic chaos ensured that BVB only reached the stadium an hour before the scheduled kick-off. Not enough time to change and warm up.

Ricken: “I was just having dinner with Rudi Völler.” He said: “Do it like you used to. “Change on the bus and then go to the seat.” But no, no one else should get sick. We still took the time.”

BVB coach Nuri Sahin (36) smiled when asked about the traffic chaos: “That fit the picture, but now we are here and that won’t stop us from being completely there soon.”

It also made it difficult for many spectators to travel, meaning that many fans would not be able to get to the stadium in time for the actual kick-off time at 8:30 p.m.

The stadium is now well filled. The fans have gathered in their seats. The players line up on the pitch. It can start right away.
