A Langley B.C Dairy Queen The company is reportedly celebrating the resignation of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau by offering $2 burgers. Trudeau announced his resignation from both his position as prime minister and his office Liberal Party leadership on Monday.
This announcement represents a significant change in Canada’s political landscape. Although the exact date of his departure has not yet been determined, Trudeau will continue in his duties as prime minister until his successor is appointed, although that transition may occur quickly.
“I intend to step down as party leader and prime minister after the party elects its next leader. Last night I asked the president of the Liberal Party to begin this process,” Trudeau added during his farewell speech in Ottawa, adding: “He will leave office as soon as the ruling Liberal Party elects a new leader.”

Photos circulating online show a large plaque with Dairy Queen’s “DQ” logo and the following text: “Grill & Chill TRUDEAU RESIGNATION SPECIAL $2 BURGERS Drive-thru.”

Social media users on X shared their experiences with the campaign. One user who posted the offer claimed: “For the record, it was insanely crowded. I saw my own MLA and my local friends there and they finished eating and sat down before I got through the drive through.”
Another user expressed surprise and wrote: “This is real??? LMAO, I’m going to have DQ for lunch tomorrow.”
Another remarked: “No joke – they must have run out of burgers quickly.”
Trudeau, Canada’s 23rd prime minister and son of former prime minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau, took office on November 4, 2015, after leading the Liberal Party to victory in that year’s federal election.
