Caleb Williams says Bears fans’ frustration predated his tenure after last loss: ‘It’s my first year’

Chicago Bears Quarterback Caleb Williams isn’t ready to take full responsibility for fans’ ongoing frustration.

During the Bears’ 6-3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks On Thursday night, fans at Soldier Field erupted in boos and chants of “Sell that team.” The low-scoring loss was the team’s 10th straight loss.

When asked about fans’ reaction after the game, Williams indicated to reporters that their frustration extends beyond his time in Chicago.

“It’s my first year. Their frustrations go back a lot longer than I was here,” said Williams, who was the first overall pick in last year’s draft.

“My job is to go out and win games. We don’t focus on the noise from outside. The fans will cheer and maybe sometimes boo, and you can’t react to that. We don’t respond to that.” To.”

Williams was 16 of 28 for 122 yards, and the Bears finished the game with just 179 total offensive yards. That’s what it’s for Rookie quarterback has taken ownership.

“I didn’t play well enough. I didn’t help put the team in a good position to win – a better position to win, and that’s what it is.”
