Cam Newton may have been a star on the football field, but the former NFL player is proving his grit and fitness in other arenas in Season 3 of Special Forces: The Toughest Test in the World.

In a clip from the latest episode, Panthers fan Michael Bell on the former football player – who never officially retired – is urged to “go, go, go, jump, let’s go” and get off the moving ship fall to hold on to the helicopter’s landing gear.

Despite the dangers of the task, the father of eight jumps Newton as the other assembled participants look on in amazement. As he manages to pull himself out of the landing gear and into the helicopter, a visibly impressed Stephen Baldwin asks the others: “Did you see that?” He pushed himself up onto a helicopter!”

As Newton cheers with joy over his achievement, the commander in the helicopter next to him tells him to keep his mouth shut. “No shouting, no shouting,” he says.

After being drafted at the top of the 2011 draft, Newton led the Panthers to Super Bowl 50, won the NFL Most Valuable Player award in 2015 and was a three-time Pro Bowler during his 11-year NFL career Sports Illustrated.

In addition to Newton, the recruits also include taking office BacheloretteTrista Sutter, 52, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Denise Richards, 53, and actor Baldwin, 58.

They will be joined by Olympic swimming gold medalist Nathan Adrian, professional surfer Alana Blanchard, professional soccer player Landon Donovan, motocross champion and husband of Pink, Carey Hart, TV personality and DJ Brody Jenner, and Olympic track and field athlete Marion Jones.

Former Bachelorette Ali Manno (Fedotowsky), athlete Newton, influencer and ex-girlfriend of Travis Kelce, Kayla Nicole, The proud family alum Kyla Pratt, Even Stevens Star and actress Christy Carlson Romano, Super Bowl champion Golden Tate and Olympic gold medalist gymnast Jordyn Wieber complete the season three cast.

The network promises “no votes and no eliminations – just survival” this season and that the famous recruits, “so used to being in the spotlight, will quickly learn what ‘no guts, no glory’ means – and no Glamour.”
