ARLINGTON — Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo is my top 12 championship player of the game after accumulating 208 total yards on 16 carries and two catches with three touchdowns in the team’s 45-19 victory over Iowa State.

But it wasn’t just what he did that mattered, but also how he did it.

Skattebo refused to be tackled by a defender, and his twists, turns, clanks and bang runs energized the Sun Devils en route to a 45-13 win over the Iowa State Cyclones here at AT&T Stadium.

Skattebo had gains of 28, 47 and 53 yards in the first half. Each carry was more exciting than the last, and it was enough to make you wonder why he wasn’t getting more consideration for the Heisman Trophy. Or president?!
