The Heisman finalists were announced Monday, and Arizona State football fans protested against the four players being invited to the ceremony honoring college football’s top player in New York City.

The problem? ASU football running back Cam Skattebo was not among them.

Sun Devils fans, Big 12 fans and college football fans were upset on social media about Skattebo’s rejection of the award.

Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel, Colorado WR/DB Travis Hunter, Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty and Miami QB Cam Ward are finalists for the award.

It’s not the first time Cam Skattebo has been rejected for an award

This isn’t the first time ASU fans have been upset about the Skattebo vote. They also recently selected the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year award, which awarded Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders ahead of Skattebo.

After that award was announced, Skattebo rushed for 170 yards on 16 carries and two touchdowns and had two catches for 38 yards and another touchdown in Arizona State’s 45-19 victory over Iowa State in the Big 12 championship game.

That leads to the question: What will Skattebo do in Arizona State’s next game, the Peach Bowl in the College Football Playoff?
