Cameron Mathison’s Home Burned Down in LA Fire, Shares Video from ‘What’s Left’

Cameron Mathison confirmed that his home was destroyed by one of the wildfires currently raging in the Los Angeles area.

The All my children The 55-year-old alum shared the aftermath of the fire that leveled his LA home in an Instagram Reel on Wednesday, January 8.

In the clip, Mathison walks down a path that appears to be outside where the house once stood, as an orange sky and billowing smoke can be seen in the background. The gate leading to an outdoor terrace is off its hinges, while much of the surrounding green space has burned.

As he makes his way to the main part of the house, the charred building appears to still be burning. Further in the distance, even larger flames burn with full force.

“We are safe. But this is what’s left of our beautiful home,” Mathison wrote alongside the video. “Our home where our children grew up and where they hoped to one day raise their own.”

The actor has two children – daughter Lelia, 18, and son Lucas, 21 – with his ex-wife Vanessa.

“Thank you to everyone who reached out and reached out,” he continued. “I can’t respond to everyone so I wanted to give an update here. Sending so many prayers to everyone affected by these fires,” he concluded the caption, followed by a prayer hands emoji.

He also documented the evacuation process on his Instagram Stories, where he shared more scenes of the fire and expressed gratitude to the “heroes” who directed traffic as residents rushed to leave.

Many other celebrities who live in the area have shared news about the condition of their homes and their safety.

On Wednesday, January 8, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag Pratt confirmed that their home was destroyed by the fire, after which Mandy Moore revealed that she didn’t know if her home survived the fire after she and her family were evacuated be.

Jamie Lee Curtis also shared in an Instagram post that her home was “possibly” on fire, but assured her followers that she and her family were safe.

There are currently five wildfires burning across the Los Angeles area (as of Wednesday, January 8).

Most fires are 0% contained, including the largest Palisades Fire, which has burned 3,000 hectares of land since it first broke out around 10:30 a.m. local time on Tuesday, January 7.

The Eaton Fire, Hurst Fire, Woodley Fire and Tyler Fire are still burning throughout the region.

According to CBS News and NBC News, Los Angeles County Fire Department Chief Anthony C. Marrone confirmed in a press conference on Wednesday, January 8 that two people died in the Eaton fire.
