Cardinals injury updates for Week 17 game against Rams

The Arizona Cardinals, 7-8 and out of playoff contention, face the 9-6 Los Angeles Rams in Week 17 in a Saturday night game that will be nationally televised on NFL Network.

The Cardinals are banged up and will have two backups starting at tackle, as both left tackle Paris Johnson and right tackle Jonah Williams are on injured reserve with knee injuries. That means Kelvin Beachum will start on the left side and Jackson Barton will start on the right side for the second time this season.

Running back James Conner is questionable for the game but is expected to play.

Let’s take a look at both teams’ injury reports as we prepare for the game.

Update on James Conner’s injury

Conner suffered a knee injury in the third quarter last week and was unable to finish the game. He was limited in practice all week, but is expected to start and play against the Rams, according to multiple reports.

Trey Benson injury update

Benson suffered an ankle injury in Week 15 and missed last week’s game. He has also been limited all week, but his status is still uncertain. Head coach Jonathan Gannon said it could be a game-day decision. Michael Carter would be called up from the practice squad and replace him in the lineup if he is unable to leave.
