Cardinals WR Michael Wilson scores a 41-yard TD pass against the Seahawks

GLENDALE, Ariz. – It didn’t take long for Kyler Murray to get rolling against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.

On second-and-6 from the Seahawks 41 at 12:02 of the first quarter, Murray took the snap under center with three receivers lined up wide. During the play, he faked a handoff to running back Trey Benson on the left side of the line, rolled back to his right, planted his feet and launched a deep pass.

Wide receiver Michael Wilson was lined up in the slot to Murray’s right, with Seahawks linebacker Uchenna Nwosu across from him. At the snap, Nwosu ran past Wilson and tried to get to Murray. But safety Julian Love played spy for Murray, trying to keep him from hitting outside on a possible run, allowing Wilson to get past him as well.

That left Wilson one-on-one with safety Coby Bryant, who kicked Wilson.

Murray’s pass was a little behind Wilson, who had to turn slightly to catch it, but Wilson had enough distance to make the adjustment and catch with ease, then stormed into the end zone as Bryant tried to pass him for 3rd down Wrapping up clay gives the Cardinals a 7-0 lead.
