President-elect Donald Trump is set to be officially sworn in on Monday and he’s rounding up some big names in the music industry for Inauguration Day.

Trump’s second inauguration will feature more stars than his first in 2017. Top artists from country music and beyond will take the mic during the celebratory event and perform a variety of patriotic tunes. The first swearing-in ceremony will take place on Monday, marking a changing of the guard and four years after performances for President Joe Biden’s inauguration in 2021, which included Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez.

Underwood is set to sing “America the Beautiful,” a spokesman for the Presidential Inaugural Committee confirmed to USA TODAY on Monday. The country singer will be accompanied by the Armed Forces Chorus and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club.

“I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the inauguration and be a small part of this historic event,” Underwood said in a statement to USA TODAY. “I am honored to answer this call at a time when we must all come together in a spirit of unity and with an eye to the future.”

Lee Greenwood sings “God Bless the USA”

Nashville country singer and music star Lee Greenwood will perform his hit “God Bless the USA” at Monday’s inauguration, he confirmed Wednesday on Fox News.

“I am humbled and humbled to be asked to perform for our 47th President Donald J. Trump at his inaugural events,” Greenwood said in a statement to USA TODAY on Wednesday. “The President has been a friend of (Mrs. Kimberly Payne) and I for many years and this is one of the most historic moments in our lives. I look forward to celebrating this special day with proud Americans everywhere.”

The 1984 song has become something of an anthem for Trump at his rallies and campaign stops. Greenwood previously joined Trump on stage to perform the ballad, and he sang “Holdin’ a Good Hand” at the Republican National Convention with fellow Tennessee native Sixwire. “God Bless” was previously playing at the RNC as Trump made his first public appearance following a shooting at his rally in Pennsylvania that left him and two others injured and another man killed.

Trump and Greenwood also teamed up last year to release a $59.99 customized version of the Bible that they are selling and calling the “God Bless the USA Bible.”

Opera singer Christopher Macchio will sing the national anthem at the swearing-in ceremony, a spokesman for the Presidential Inauguration Committee confirmed to USA TODAY on Wednesday. The American tenor singer will take on the monumental task of singing “The Star-Spangled Banner,” previously singing “God Bless America,” “America the Beautiful” and more at the 2020 RNC and being one of the most notable names at Trump’s rally in Madison Square Garden before the 2024 election.

“America’s Got Talent” alum Jackie Evancho performed the national anthem during the 2017 swearing-in ceremony, while Lady Gaga delivered a stunning rendition of the anthem at Biden’s inauguration.

Village People appear at Trump events even though ‘our preferred candidate lost’

In a Facebook post on Monday, the Village People announced they would be participating in events related to Trump’s inauguration.

The group’s hit “YMCA,” which has been a staple at Trump’s events for years, “is a global anthem that will hopefully help bring the country together after a tumultuous and divided election campaign in which our preferred candidate lost.” it in the group’s post.

“We are announcing today that VILLAGERS have accepted an invitation from President-elect Trump’s campaign to attend inaugural events, including at least one event with President-elect Trump,” the post reads. “We know some of you won’t like to hear this, but we believe music should be performed without regard to politics.”
