Central Florida prepares for the coldest night of the season, with temperatures in the low 30s – WFTV

An additional blast of cold air will move into Central Florida this evening, bringing with it the frigid temperatures of the season.

ORLANDO, Fla. – ▶ WATCH CHANNEL 9’S EYEWITNESS NEWS

Orlando could drop to 38 degrees, the lowest since last January.

A cold weather advisory is in effect, with wind chills expected to fall into the upper 20s to near 30 degrees.

A frost warning remains in effect for northern areas where frost is likely.

Residents are strongly advised to bring pets indoors and cover sensitive tropical plants, especially in frost-prone areas.

Prepare for widespread 30s overnight, with icy conditions continuing into the early morning hours.
