Chad Michael Murray reveals he brings his three kids with him to every acting job

Chad Michael Murray doesn’t want to miss a second of his three children’s lives.

While I recently spoke to diversityThe 43-year-old actor opened up about his life as a father to his three children – a 9-year-old son, a 6-year-old daughter and a daughter he gave birth to in August 2023 – who he shares with his wife. Actress Sarah Roemer.

The A tree hill alum calls his family of five “The Pack,” a fitting title since he explains that the crew travels together to every gig Murray books.

“I want to be there,” explains the father of three, referring to his presence in his children’s lives. “I was allowed to be there when my daughter took her first steps.” I was allowed to show her trick-or-treating for the first time.

“And she crushed it!” he adds.

The proud father transported his backpack to Halifax, Nova Scotia for filming Sullivan’s Crossingwhere he managed to “completely immerse himself in the city and its community.” Murray noted that he also coaches his son’s soccer team, which is headed to the playoffs.

Murray previously spoke about his love for coaching Nova Scotia’s Little League football team during an interview Etalk Interview in which she says, “I coached Little League Football with my son and all the kids that came, and we just had a camaraderie.”

In May, Murray spoke to Number about how fatherhood has changed his attitude towards the roles and projects he takes on.

“So much. I would say a lot of the material, particularly from the last 5 to 8 years since my son was born, I choose because I think one of the last things you really want is for your children to be verbally abused in school “for what their parents do,” Murray told the outlet.

“I don’t want my kids to go to school because they’re freshmen in high school and my dad’s butt is all over their locker. That’s not fair to them, so it was great to make decisions for that.”
