Chargers’ JK Dobbins leaves Ravens game early due to injury: Full updates

Everything was going well for the LA Chargers early on against the Baltimore Ravens Monday Night Football. Los Angeles scored on its first drive and had two defensive stops to take a 10-0 lead.

Then the Ravens woke up. After cutting the lead to three points, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh made the risky decision to go deeper into his own territory from fourth and one. The Ravens converted and that gave them the momentum they needed to break down the field and make it 14-10.

As if that sequence wasn’t bad enough for the Chargers, standout running back JK Dobbins was also seen returning to the locker room just before halftime. Dobbins was not present on the Chargers’ final drive of the half.

Update: JK Dobbins is out with a knee injury against the Baltimore Ravens.

Update: Dobbins was not back on the Chargers’ first drive of the second half and was still in the locker room. Salters said Dobbins came out of the locker room quickly in the first half wearing a knee brace but did not return after halftime.

The ESPN broadcast confirmed that Dobbins is suffering from a knee injury and is questionable to return. Sideline reporter Lisa Salters said Dobbins’ knee was heavily taped and bandaged as he worked out his leg on the sidelines. According to Salters, Dobbins appeared as if he wanted to return to the game but was eventually led to the locker room before halftime.

We will continue to update this post for Chargers fans as more information about Dobbins becomes available.
