The Chargers secured a postseason berth in their first season under Jim Harbaugh with a convincing performance on Saturday 40-7 Away win against the Patriots. With the win in Week 17, the Bolts increased their record to 10-6 on the season.

The Bolts are currently No. 6 in the AFC playoff rankings. If it stays that way, the Chargers would play the No. 3 seed, which is currently the Ravens.

However, the Chargers can also claim the No. 5 seed if they win in Week 18 and the Steelers lose to the Bengals.

The Bolts’ playoff berth is a sign of a remarkable turnaround engineered by Harbaugh, who instilled a culture and belief in his first year in charge.

“Our mindset has really solidified in the way we operate every day,” Rashawn Slater said Chargers.com early this season. “It’s like a growth mindset and we’re very focused on who we want to be and what we want to become. We are completely focused on getting better every week.”

The Bolts last reached the playoffs in the 2022 season.
