It’s the most wonderful time of the year again. No, not the holiday season – it’s Girl Scout Cookie season.

Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) officially announced Tuesday the start of the 2025 season, which typically runs through the spring.

Proceeds from each box sold remain with local troops and councils, funding experiences like camps, trips, service projects and more throughout the year, according to GSUSA. Selling Girl Scout Cookies is “the largest entrepreneurship program in the world,” according to GSUSA, and empowers girls to learn entrepreneurial skills, including goal setting, money management, decision making, interpersonal skills and business ethics.

“Girl Scout Cookie season is about so much more than just selling the iconic cookies people know and love,” GSUSA Chief Revenue Officer Wendy Lou said in a press release. “The funds girls earn throughout the season directly support their careers in leadership, entrepreneurship and community building. The tremendous success of each sale is a testament to how much girls can change the world when they put their minds to it.”

The 2025 cookie range includes all the classics and then some.

Adventurous: Delicious brownie-style cookies topped with caramel-flavored cream and a touch of salt
Caramel Chocolate Chips: Chewy cookies with rich caramel, semi-sweet chocolate chips and a touch of sea salt
Caramel DeLites/Samoas: Crispy cookies with caramel, coconut and chocolate strips
Do-si-dos/peanut butter sandwich: Crunchy oatmeal sandwich cookies with peanut butter filling

Which Girl Scout cookie flavors are no longer being made?

This is the final bow for two cookies in the lineup. To close out the 2025 season, S’mores and Toast-Yay! The flavors are being discontinued, meaning fans need to stock up now.

According to the organization, Girl Scout Cookie season is recognized nationally from January through April, but local timing varies. If you would like to shop locally, you can first visit www.girlscoutcookies.org to find a booth near you.

How much do Girl Scout cookies cost?

This year, Girl Scout cookies are $6 per box. This is an increase from last year, which GSUSA attributes to inflation affecting all parts of the manufacturing process.

Are Girl Scout Cookies gluten-free, vegan, kosher or halal?

According to the Girl Scouts website, Toffee-tastic and Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookies are gluten-free.

Thin mints, peanut butter patties, sodas and toast – yay! Cookies are vegan, while each flavor is kosher and halal certified, according to GSUSA.
