Chick-fil-A has changed its fries — and fans aren’t happy

They are quite dissatisfied.

Chick-Fil-A fans are uncharacteristically upset with the fast food chain after discovering their favorite tinkered with the waffle fry recipe.

“We recently made a slight adjustment to our waffle potato fries recipe that delivers the same great taste while ensuring our waffle potato fries stay crispy longer,” the company said in a recent statement on the website published notice.

But there’s one ingredient in this adapted recipe that will make some people’s stomachs turn – pea starch.

Chicken cheerleader Daryl-Ann Denner is a loyalist who has a bone to pick with the Atlanta-based company.

“I eat Chick-fil-A at least a couple times a week and I would say that around mid-November I noticed that the fries were different,” Denner, 34, told Southern Living.

“At first I just thought I kept getting a bad batch. Then I blamed it on the location being wrong, but when I visited a different location with my mom, I asked her if she noticed that the fries were grainier than usual,” said the founder and CEO of clothing brand Nuuds the outlet.

“Whether I got food or not, I got fries and a large Diet Coke. Now I order my main course and don’t get fries. They are dry, grainy and no longer have any taste. My kids don’t even eat them,” she said.

Denner isn’t the only one frustrated by the change. Fans are flooding the brand’s social media to voice their sleazy displeasure – and beg for a return to the old style.

“I hate the new fries!! Please change it back. We want muddy,” one commented on a recent Instagram post.

“Your new fries are terrible. I can’t even eat them anymore and they were my favorite food. Please go back,” complained another.

“Please bring back the old fries, the new ones are so disgusting,” someone else chimed in.

On her own Instagram account this week, Denner posted that one of her New Year’s resolutions was to convince the chicken house to reverse the stupid move.

“You know I love you, Chick-fil-A. Other than that, you can’t go wrong,” she said.

The french fries fracas comes as it was revealed that the hugely popular fast food restaurant is one of five chains not using real whole eggs in their breakfast dishes.

While the company is working towards offering 100% cage-free eggs, it admitted that its egg products are currently made from eggs, water and other additives.
