Chiefs-Browns Week 15 Injury Report: Harrison Butker expected to play

Every practice day of the season, the Kansas City Chiefs Release an official injury report ahead of the next game. This week, Kansas City is on the road to play the Cleveland Browns on Sunday at noon Arrowhead time.

Some comments

  • Kicker Harrison Butker (left knee) was limited in practice all week and received one questionable Designation. However, on Saturday morning, multiple reports suggested Butker would be activated for the game, meaning Matthew Wright would be released.
  • Coordinator Dave Toub on Wright’s AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honor: “That was huge for him. It will help him. Butker is coming back at some point and we can’t have three kickers, so it might help him find a job down the road. He deserves it.”
  • After miss Practiced all week, left tackle DJ Humphries (hamstring) was demoted out of for Saturday’s game. Wide receiver Hollywood Brown (shoulder) logged one limited Practice Friday (more here) and was decided out of for the game.
  • Head Coach Andy Reid on weighing options at left tackle: “I’ll see where we are with this. We changed people there, so we’ll see what the end result is there.”
  • With their announcement about Humphries, the Chiefs also said they have designated linebacker Swayze Bozeman and tight end Anthony Firkser for the game.
  • Right tackle Jawaan Taylor (knee) was upgraded to one full Participants on Thursday and Friday after registration a limited meeting on Wednesday. He is Good to go. Cornerback Joshua Williams (chest) – who had to leave Sunday’s game early – was a full participants all week and is also Good to go.
  • The Browns listed five questionable Players including tight end David Njoku (hamstring) and left guard Joel Bitonio (back). On Wednesday, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski told reporters that Njoku is “day to day.”
  • Like Butker, defensive tackle Mike Hall (knee) and cornerback Myles Harden (shin) also played activated from the reserve/injured list for the game
  • There was optimism that Cedric Tillman (concussion) could return to action this week, but he remains out of as he works through concussion protocol.
  • Cleveland starting cornerback Martin Emerson (shin) logged one full Training on Friday and is Good to go.
