The Kansas City Chiefs are on track to knock out the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 17 after veteran defensive back Justin Reid intercepted quarterback Russell Wilson in the first quarter of the AFC powerhouse’s Christmas game.

Kansas City had already built a two-point lead in the first quarter before Reid’s outstanding interception, and the Chiefs seized the ball with a chance to score 20 or more points on their third offensive attack.

Although Pittsburgh still has plenty of time to fight back, Kansas City’s convincing performance early in the game is a clear sign that the Chiefs want to secure the No. 1 seed in the AFC with a win over the Steelers.

Fans can expect Reid to continue to be a presence throughout the remainder of Wednesday’s game and for Kansas City’s secondary to keep the pressure on Wilson in all four quarters.
