Kaimuki Christmas Parade – December 5th, 6:00-9:00 p.m

The annual Kaimuki Christmas Parade begins at 6:00 pm along Waialae Ave from 3rd to Koko Head Ave and will bring joy to everyone who passes by! Plus, the Kaimuki Christmas tree will be lit at the top of Pu’u O Kaimuki, so don’t miss out on all the fun!

Honolulu City Lights 2023

Honolulu City Lights Opening Night – December 7th

Kick off the holiday season with the annual Honolulu City Lights event! It will be an unforgettable evening with local vendors, beautiful Christmas lights and decorated Christmas trees, and lots of photo opportunities!

The month-long celebration begins with a block party at Punchbowl St. and the Frank F. Fasi Civic Grounds at 4 p.m. The Public Workers Electric Light Parade begins at 6:15 p.m. at A’ala Park. The evening will conclude with the annual tree lighting ceremony by Mayor Rick Blangiardi.

From 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. there will be free photos with Santa in the Mission Memorial Auditorium and there will be plenty of food from local vendors such as AlohaMade Bites, Waimanalo Country Farms and more. Guests will also see some new and exciting Christmas displays to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Oahu’s legendary Christmas spectacular!

Explore the 250-foot-long illuminated tunnels, fifty illuminated trees throughout the grounds, and a train for enjoying keiki. You definitely shouldn’t miss this.

Kaimuki High School Craft and Gift Fair – December 7, 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m

There will be over 200 vendors at this year’s craft and gift fair. So treat yourself to a shopping treat and support local businesses! There will be plenty of parking, plenty of food, the latest trends and much more. This event is open to the public and will take place at Kaimuki High School.







HI Symphony Orchestra β€œYoung Stars” Competition – Conductor




How the Grinch Stole Christmas – December 12, 7:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m

Take a Whoville Vacation with the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra! The band will bring to life the beloved classic β€œHow the Grinch Stole Christmas,” starring Jim Carrey. Guests can watch Cindy Lou Who on the big screen as she takes matters into her own hands to show the Grinch the true meaning of Christmas. This event takes place at the Hawaii Theater.

Mele Kalikimaka Marketplace – December 14th and 15th, 10am – 5pm

Shop from 250 vendors offering Hawaii’s best produce, crafts, food, clothing and more! This event will take place at the Neal Blaisdell Exposition Hall. General admission is $6, military and seniors are $4, and Keiki under 12 is FREE. Opening times on Saturday are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m

Christmas Pop-Up Shop – December 18th – 23rd

Need to buy last minute gifts? Check out the pop-up event featuring tons of handmade treasures, seasonal treats and more. This event will be held at the former Toys R Us building in Aiea at the Pearlridge Center. There are giveaways throughout the day, plenty of parking, and entry is free for shoppers!

The event times are as follows:

  • Wednesday, December 18th – Friday, December 20th: 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m
  • Saturday, December 21st – Sunday, December 22nd: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m
  • Monday, December 23rd: 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m







First night of the Hui holiday




Hui Holidays First Night – December 5th, 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m

Gather with your loved ones for a festive evening at Kaluanui Estate and sip and sample Ono Pupus while shopping for locally made products! Exclusive one-night providers will be represented on the first evening. The ticket price is $45. The event will take place at the Hui No’eau Visual Arts Center.

Instead of performing Charles Dickens’ holiday classic, three actors will perform every Christmas story ever told along with Christmas traditions from around the world! This event will take place over several days at 1280 South Kihei Rd in Azeka Plaza.

Holiday Fun for the Whole Family at the Sugar Museum – December 7, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m

Kahuku Celebration Holidays – December 7, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m

Discover local crafts and Ono food, live music, free shave ice and keiki face painting at this FREE and fun event! AND even take a few photos with Santa while you’re at it! Performances include the Kipapa Sisters, Hot Potaytahs and the Southside Symphony. This event takes place in the Kahuku Unit at the 70.5 mile marker on Highway 11 in Ka’u.

Kailua Kalikimaka Holiday Event – ​​December 8th

Check out the exciting Light Boat Parade following the free Kailua Kalikimaka concert at Emma’s Square from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., which will feature the beautiful voice of Amy Hanaiali’i. The Kona Fleet will bring the community a fun show on Kailua Bay from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m

2024 Waimea Light Parade – December 21, 5:00-10:00 p.m

Join us for the 24th Annual Waimea Light Parade as it parades down Waimea’s Main Street! The annual Waimea Light Parade will parade down Main Street at 6:15 p.m. and end in Hofgaard Park with a Christmas concert in the center of town! The Waimea Bridge is scheduled to close at 5:30 p.m. and reopen at 9:20 p.m. Both the parade and the concert are completely FREE!!!

Home for the Holidays: Bring Home a Shelter House – December 2024

Bring home a Kauai Humane Society shelter animal this holiday season! Open your heart and your home to give a furry friend a cozy vacation with no strings attached. This is an overnight program run by the Kauai Humane Society that runs the entire month of December through January 5, 2025.
