Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Jermaine Burton is being evicted and sued by his landlord

CINCINNATI – Bengals rookie wide receiver Jermaine Burton will be ejected, according to officials from the Hamilton County Clerk of Court.

The 23-year-old did not travel with the team to Pittsburgh before its must-win game against the Steelers on Saturday night. He is healthy but has not traveled. It was a “coaching decision,” according to the team.

The eviction notice was filed on December 23rd. It includes a civil lawsuit for $2,506.33.

It’s unclear why Burton won’t travel with the team, but it’s not the first time Burton has been a healthy scratch this season. He didn’t play against the Raiders in November after being a no call, no show on a walkthrough Saturday.

Burton finished his rookie season with four catches for 107 yards in 14 games.

The Bengals selected Burton in the third round (80th overall) in the 2024 NFL Draft. Check out the official filing below:
