Quick notes: Trinity Christian made it through last week with a battle against Maclay (Tallahassee) in Region 1, while Chaminade-Madonna was on a roll, defeating teams in the playoffs by a combined score of 182-6. That’s enough to shock the system because no matter what opponents try, Chaminade-Madonna has been unstoppable since losing the first two games of the season to St. John Bosco (CA) and Blanche Ely (Pompano Beach). . With that in mind, Trinity Christian, facing Chaminade-Madonna for the first time since the 2020 Class 3A state championship game, will face one of the youngest teams in Conquerors history. Therefore, the visiting Conquerors will have to find a way to stop the host Lions from finding their rhythm and averaging 46.3 points per game. If they can halve that number, they have a chance of winning the game. Keep an eye on quarterback Ty Chance, who took over as the team’s starting quarterback in October after injuries and transfers left the position somewhat unbalanced this season. The Lions have also used the running back position more frequently on offense this year to give a variety of players the opportunity to touch the ball. For Trinity Christian, the Conquerors’ offense was lackluster compared to previous years, with Terel Dallas leading the team with an average of 92.9 yards per game. That’s a cause for concern right there. So Trinity Christian is only averaging 283 yards per game, while Chaminade-Madonna is averaging 457.1 yards per game. Oh, and we haven’t talked about defense yet, but defensively the Lions are averaging 3.4 sacks per game, which will certainly worry the Conquerors, who are averaging just two sacks per game and a lower number of tackles per game Average (47.5 compared to Chaminade-Madonna’s average of 55.7 tackles per game). Overall, this game could be one of the haves and have-nots.
