WARMER FOR CHRISTMAS

It’s probably no surprise that this Christmas won’t be white. The odds are against us most years. However, it will be warmer than at the weekend. Highs will reach the 40s and lows in the 50s on Tuesday and Wednesday.

There is a small chance of precipitation on Christmas Day, but at the moment it looks like most hometowns will remain dry.

SECOND HALF OF THE WEEK

Our pattern becomes a little more volatile in the second half of the week. Weak disturbances in the upper elevations may bring a light drizzle here and there, but on the whole many of us will stay dry into the weekend.

A first look at long-term models shows that it will get warmer at the beginning of 2024. This means wintry weather is less likely for the rest of the month.

Above-average temperatures are likely to round out 2024.
