Cole Hauser Says He’ll ‘Miss’ the ‘Incredible Cast’ of ‘Yellowstone’ (Exclusive)

Cole Hauser looks back on his Yellowstone Experience lovingly – while also looking forward to what might come next in the Dutton universe.

Hauser, 49, who plays Rip Wheeler on the hit Paramount series, tells PEOPLE while chatting with Lucky Brand about his new collection that he’ll “miss” the show’s “incredible cast” now that the fifth season is coming to an end.

“It’s been an incredible experience over the last few weeks just seeing people out and about and seeing them embrace the show and the character and what it means to them,” he says of the fans’ reception for the lang expected series Yellowstone Return, which took place on November 10th, almost two years after the release of the last episode.

“For me, it’s always my dream to be able to do that, educate, enlighten and entertain people,” he adds of his work on the show.

With the Yellowstone As the season finale airs on December 15, Hauser is wondering what’s next for the Duttons and where his character might fall into all of this.

“I think America has spoken. They still love the show. “There’s obviously a lot of people who get together with their families every Sunday, and we’re giving them the experience of taking them out of their own living room and bringing them to Montana and entertaining them,” he shares. “And I think ultimately it’s just that simple.”

Of utmost importance


While he remains tight-lipped on specific details, Hauser teases, “We’ll see what happens over the next year or so, and we’ll see what comes next.” Hopefully we can continue to get into people’s living rooms and entertain them in the way we have over the last seven years.”

During a conversation with PEOPLE in October, Hauser also briefly discussed the idea of ​​expanding mainstream Yellowstone storyline beyond the current fifth season.

Although he defined himself as “just a hitman” and not a decision-maker about the future of the show, he admitted that “it would certainly be a shame to stop a great thing. I think the numbers speak for themselves.”

The series finale of Yellowstone airs Sunday, December 15 at 8pm ET/PT on Paramount Network.
