College Football Betting Trends: Conquer Colorado and Beyond in the Alamo Bowl | Bets

Saturday

Fenway Bowl: North Carolina (-2, 52½) vs. UConn (at Boston):

Former Cleveland Browns coach Freddie Kitchens will serve as interim Tar Heels coach in the Fenway Bowl between the Mack Brown and Bill Belichick administrations. The Huskies have a 7-3-1 record against the team in their last 11 games and have a record of 7-4-1 over-under this season. North Carolina is 2-9-1 ATS this season and is 2-15-1 overall against FBS-level opponents. Edge: UConn and easy to over.

Pinstripe Bowl: Nebraska (-4, 45½) vs. Boston College (in Bronx, New York):

The Eagles have scored the last five goals for coach Bill O’Brien this season and have crossed the line six times in a row. Boston College has a 5-2 coverage as an underdog. The Cornhuskers have a 3-4-2 lineup and are 4-1 on the road. Edge: Boston College and low to over.

New Mexico Bowl: TCU (-11½, 59) vs. Louisiana (at Albuquerque, New Mexico):

The Ragin’ Cajuns went 10-3 this season but 7-6 ATS. Louisiana coach Michael Desormeaux lost and failed to cover bowls the last two seasons, although both games were close. The Horned Frogs are 0-3 ATS outside of the Big 12 despite winning and covering their last three games overall. Edge: Easy to Louisiana.

Pop Tarts Bowl: Miami-Fla. (-3½, 56) vs. Iowa State (in Orlando, Florida):

The Cyclones are on a 2-5 spread slide after trailing five straight. Iowa State is 1-4 and ATS in bowls under coach Matt Campbell. The Hurricanes finished the season with a record of 3-5 and had an over-under record of 8-3-1. Edge: Easy to over.

Arizona Bowl: Miami-Ohio (-3, 40½) vs. Colorado State (in Tucson, Arizona):

The RedHawks have made six straight bowl appearances, the last five under coach Chuck Martin. The Rams had gone seven straight games before failing to make it in the last two games. Colorado State has also gone 6-2 in its last two games. The Rams went 1-3 ATS this season as underdogs. Edge: Miami-Ohio.

Military Bowl: NC State (-6½, 58½) vs. East Carolina (in Annapolis, Maryland):

The Pirates won four straight after a coaching change (Mike Houston to Blake Harrell) before losing their season finale to Navy. East Carolina also had a five-game advantage before falling in its last two games. The Wolfpack played four of its last five games and finished the season with an 8-3 record. NC State coach Dave Doeren has lost and failed to cover his last four bowls. Edge: Above.

Alamo Bowl: Colorado (-3½, 55) vs. BYU (at San Antonio):

This could have been the Big 12 title game. The Cougars started the season 9-0 and played their first six games, but finished the season 1-4-1 ATS. BYU went 4-1 ATS as an underdog and finished the season with a 7-1 overrun. The Buffaloes finished the season with a 9-1 coverage run and a 5-3-1 margin for coach Deion Sanders. Edge: Over and over to Colorado.

Independence Bowl: Army (-16½, 44) vs. Louisiana Tech (in Shreveport, Louisiana):

The Bulldogs have played their last five games, although they have lost three of them outright. Louisiana Tech was a 5-0 ATS underdog this season. Army started the season 9-0 and played its first six games, although the Black Knights are favorites with a 2-5 lead and 1-4 ATS. Army has a 7-4 lead. Edge: Louisiana Tech.

Monday

Music City Bowl: Missouri (-2½, 40) vs. Iowa (in Nashville, Tennessee):

The Hawkeyes are 7-8-1 ATS as an underdog since 2021. Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz is 4-4-1 ATS in his last nine bowls. The Hawkeyes had a 9-3 record while underhanded this season after starting the year with a shorthanded record of 6-21. The Tigers reported their last four games and six of seven. Edge: Missouri and easy to about.
