ESPN’s Ashley ShahAhmadi stole the show during the SEC Championship game between Georgia and Texas on Saturday night.

The stunning reporter wowed fans during ESPN’s live broadcast from Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, where she turned heads when she received one of Dr. Pepper sponsored halftime challenge.

A number of smitten users flocked to social media to gush over ShahAhmadi after seeing her on screen and some even asked for her hand in marriage.

However, one fan soon noticed a “devastating” detail that dashed her marriage hopes – after noticing she was wearing an engagement ring at a previous game.

“I’m devastated after the replay,” they wrote alongside a photo of Shah-Ahmadi wearing a ring.

However, a fan noticed that Shah-Ahmadi disappeared from the market after previously wearing an engagement ring

Another fan posted: “Ruined my morning.”

A third sentence: “Heartbreaker.”

While one simply commented: “Tears.”

Shah-Ahmadi has been officially off the market for over a year after tying the knot with her husband in October 2023.

In the game itself, Trevor Etienne scored a game-winning four-yard score in overtime and secured the Southeastern Conference Championship for the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs with a 22-19 victory over No. 2 Texas.

Etienne rushed for 94 yards and scored two scores, helping Georgia win despite starting quarterback Carson Beck missing the entire second half due to injury. Beck completed 7 of 13 passes for 56 yards before substitute Gunner Stockton threw for 71 yards and an interception.

After Bert Auburn’s 32-yard field goal gave Texas a three-point lead in overtime, Stockton was ejected from the game following an eight-yard rush following a helmet-busting tackle by Andrew Mukuba. Beck came back into the game and handed the ball off after Etienne’s game-winning score.

Quinn Ewers completed 27 of 46 passes for 358 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions for Texas, which fell to Georgia for the second time.

The Bulldogs won their third SEC title under coach Kirby Smart, but the trophy comes with an even bigger prize – a bye in the first round of the new 12-team College Football Playoff.

Georgia entered the game ranked fifth in the CFP, but is now assured of playing in the quarterfinal game of the Sugar Bowl on New Year’s Day as a No. 2 seed en route to its third national title in four seasons.

“This team never says no,” said a jubilant Smart amid the falling confetti at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Texas failed to win an SEC title in its first season in the league and will host a first-round game on either December 20th or 21st. Both losses came to the Bulldogs, who prevailed 30-15 when the powerhouse programs met in Austin during the regular season.

“It hurts,” Texas coach Steve Sarkisian said. “But we get a chance in a few weeks to regroup, get into the College Football Playoff and compete for a national championship. “I think we’re good enough to win that.”
