A social media snippet doesn’t always tell the whole story.

That’s according to two-way Colorado star Travis Hunter, who spoke Tuesday about a viral moment with fiancée Leanna Lenee from weeks earlier, where the couple’s postgame interaction caused a stir.

“A lot could happen in the stands, people don’t understand,” Hunter, 21, said on the latest episode of “The Pivot Podcast.”

“She might look irritated at me, but at the same time she has to deal with a lot of things during the game. There’s a lot of things people don’t see on camera.”

Shortly after the Buffaloes’ dominant 52-0 win over Oklahoma State on Nov. 29, Hunter — a Heisman Trophy candidate who could potentially be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft — tried to hug Lenee on the field , but she appeared to turn away.

As the interaction unfolded, the wide receiver/cornerback appeared to have a conversation with Lenee before pointing offscreen.

Hunter raved about “Queen” Lenee in an Instagram post the day after the game, which he elaborated on during his recent visit to the Pivot Podcast.

“I just let people talk,” he said. “I’m a big troller, so I just troll the internet. I really don’t care what they think or what they say about us so I’ll just go ahead and troll. They talk about them, I post them to make them even angrier than they already are, so they try to find something to hate, try to find something to destroy our relationship, but there is Nothing, nothing you could do Find because I love my wife.”

Hunter, who said Tuesday that he and Lenee have been “together for a very, very long time,” confirmed their engagement in February.

“She’s the closest person to me, she’s helped me with everything,” Hunter said. “Sometimes it’s a little hard, but she’s always there.”

Lenee supported Hunter during a standout 2024 season in which he recorded 92 catches for 1,152 yards and 14 touchdowns.

In addition to Hunter, Miami quarterback Cam Ward, Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel and Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty were also named Heisman Trophy finalists.

The most prestigious award in college football will be presented on December 14th in New York.
