Comedian’s Interpretation to Joe Rogan Podcast Listeners Goes Viral: “Loser”

“But if you listen to his podcast, you’re a damn loser.”

The comedian cited his “crazy conspiracy theorist” brother-in-law as an example of Rogan’s “target audience,” describing him as someone who “doesn’t think four hours is long enough” for a podcast episode.

A clip of Jeselnik’s comments was posted by Columbia University Professor Marlow Stone on X (formerly Twitter), where it has gone viral with nearly eight million views at the time of writing.

Newsweek contacted Rogan’s rep via email seeking comment.

People were divided over Jeselnik’s comments and voiced their thoughts in replies to Stone’s post.

“Punchline sells it if you listen lol,” @gansekyle wrote.

“Awww, the poor idiot is absolutely furious that young people don’t listen to left wing comedians or podcasts. Sorry dude, the left isn’t cool anymore, and insulting people and calling them stupid just makes up for the left.” *more* uncool,” commented @raquelwelchh.

“Actually a great joke, think about it 🤣,” @HardKreiger added.

According to reporter Kathryn VanArendonk, who portrayed the comedian Vulture, Jeselnik told her he would now take out the part of his routine where he describes Rogan as a good guy.

“He told me if he were to tape this special now he would leave out the part about how he likes Rogan and thinks he’s a good guy,” VanArendonk wrote on X.

Jeselnik was a writer Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and previously spoke about how some of his jokes on the show were rejected because they were considered too dark.

Most recently in his own podcast, The Jeselnik & Rosenthal Vanity Projecthe talked about Rogan’s influence and discussed whether a “liberal Joe Rogan” would work.

“Conservatives have what works for them, and a lot of it is conspiracy theory and ‘We’re ultra-masculine.'” “Joe Rogan doesn’t work without MMA. “He used to be the weed guy – now he’s the weed guy and the MMA guy, and he fits this role of conservative Joe Rogan perfectly,” he said in an interview with Cracked.

“A liberal Joe Rogan is just awesome. I have people come to my shows and as progressives say, ‘I hate progressive comedy because it’s so lame, and when I see your show I know it.’ “You’re progressive and I know that I’m in good hands, that I can laugh and enjoy it.” I don’t know what a liberal Joe Rogan would look like, but it sounds like a child’s drawing of God – it has no relation to the reality,” he added.
