The Bengals remain winless after a 38-33 loss to Washington.

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins left the field during the Denver Broncos’ 30-24 win on Saturday. In a must-win game for Cincinnati’s playoff hopes, Higgins caught 11 passes for 131 yards and three touchdowns, including a dominant drive in overtime that helped the Bengals improve their mark to 8-8.

Higgins, of course, is a free agent after the season. The Bengals, who are franchise players in 2024, will also have to pay fellow wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase this offseason. It’s mathematically nearly impossible for Cincinnati to pay Joe Burrow, Chase and Higgins.

With so many teams needing wide receivers this offseason, Higgins will have no shortage of suitors. The Patriots, Panthers and Commanders are among the teams with the space, money and need for a wide receiver. Washington has Terry McLaurin, who is having a phenomenal season, but desperately needs a real difference maker in rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.

Could Higgins be that guy? Would general manager Adam Peters choose Higgins? Although Higgins will be expensive, he is 6-foot-2, only 25 (26 in January) and extremely productive. He could be just what Washington needs to take their offense to the next level.

While it’s unclear where Peters stands on Higgins, Commanders fans on X – formerly Twitter – made it clear where they stand.

This Eagles fan doesn’t want Higgins in Washington.
