Connor Stalions uses Ryan Williams to score on Ohio State in front of Michigan against Alabama

Notorious former Michigan Employees Connor Stallions needed Alabama WR Ryan Williams take a shot at it Ohio State before the ReliaQuest Bowl.

Speaking to Barstool Sports owner and founder Dave Portnoy on Twitter, Portnoy asked why Michigan was a roughly 17-point underdog in this game. Stallions had a wise comment.

And boy, does he love shooting the Buckeyes.

“Michigan has 17 dogs today,” Portnoy wrote. “I can’t remember the last time they scored so many points. Have they ever been bigger outsiders? Always? Probably not.”

“There probably isn’t even a database that goes back far enough,” Stalions replied. “I would imagine the spread is so big because of Alabama’s star freshman WR. Do we know if Michigan has ever faced a threat like this in the area?”

We’re sure Ohio State fans are in the process of naming one of the best wide receivers they’ve had in the last five to 10 years. Maybe even longer! Not to mention what Jeremiah Smith did it this season as a freshman.

In fact, it can be argued that Smith was the best receiver in college football this year. He has 63 catches for 1,037 yards, 12 touchdowns and 16.5 yards per catch.

Williams also burst onto the scene for Alabama this year as a freshman. Heading into Tuesday’s game, he has 45 catches for 857 yards, eight touchdowns and 19 yards per catch.

Of course, Alabama is a big favorite since the Crimson Tide were a fringe playoff team. They also hinted at Williams as Stallions.

But the Crimson Tide can’t overlook Michigan. Ohio State fans may be upset about the comment, but the Buckeyes have bigger fish to fry College Football Playoffs Quarterfinals against Oregon.

Alabama finished the regular season 9-3 with losses Vanderbilt, Oklahoma And Tennessee. While the Crimson Tide find themselves in a similar situation to Michigan, they completely missed the College Football Playoff for the first time in years Kalen DeBoers NFL players are ready to suit up for the ReliaQuest Bowl. Michigan now has nine who declared for the NFL Draft before the end of the season.

“Really proud of the way they did their jobs, not just this week but all month long,” DeBoer said Monday. “Just always looking for ways to continue to improve individually and as a team overall and be ready to go out and play tomorrow.”

Has Michigan ever seen a player like Williams? It was definitely Smith in late November, right?

How will non-opt-outs be improved in this case? We’re sure Stallions will be watching closely and perhaps convince Portnoy to place a big bet on the Wolverines. But be careful with a player Michigan has never seen before!
