Cooper Kupp stuns NFL fans with bold new look for Rams-Vikings playoff game

Ahead of his team’s rescheduled playoff game against the Minnesota Vikings, Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp debuted a new-look hairstyle.

Kupp strolled onto the field at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on Monday evening with his hair in braids.

It was noticed by a fan who took a screenshot and shared it on X, formerly Twitter, and it was quickly picked up by other users.

‘Omg!!!!! I didn’t even recognize Cooper. I thought, “Woah (Rams head coach Sean) McVay added someone from the practice squad.” “You know it’s going downhill…” said one fan.

Another remarked: “He’s going off tonight,” while another user predicted: “I’ve seen enough, Rams by 500.”

One user made a more specific prediction, saying, “Kupp for 12 catches, 160 yards and 2 tuds.”

Kupp previously admitted that his team was adjusting after its playoff home game had to be moved to Glendale, home of the division rival Arizona Cardinals, due to the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles.

“There is nothing normal about training at the Arizona Cardinals facility and all the consequences that come with it,” he told reporters this week.

“You still feel that, but … it’s nice to be able to be out here with the guys and have something to work towards.”

“Nothing close to what’s happening in the real world,” Kupp added, “but it’s an opportunity for us to come closer together and say, ‘Let’s be able to respond to a little bit of need here and get out there and to do it.’ something special.’

The Rams did something special by taking an early lead. Quarterback Matthew Stafford threw a touchdown pass to running back Kyren Williams on the first drive and kicked a field goal on the next drive to take a 10-0 lead.

At the time of publication, the Rams lead the Vikings 10-3.
