Country singer with Austin ties to perform at Trump’s inauguration ball

The Conroe native recorded his first EP and album in Austin after moving to the state capital after high school.

AUSTIN, Texas – On January 20, Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States

As part of the celebration, the Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee on Wednesday announced a slate of artists who will perform throughout the day, whether at the inauguration or at one of subsequent presidential balls.

Among the acts will be country singer Parker McCollum, who will perform at the Commander-in-Chief Ball later that evening. McCollum is from Conroe, north of Houston, but moved to Austin after graduating high school to pursue a career in music.

In 2012, McCollum recorded his first extended play (EP) entitled “A Red Town View” in Austin. His debut album “The Limestone Creek” followed in 2015, which was recorded at Cedar Creek Studio in South Austin.

McCollum moved to Nashville during the COVID-19 pandemic and released three more studio albums during this time – “Probably Wrong” (2017), “Gold Chain Cowboy” (2021) and “Never Enough” (2023) with the popular song “Handle on You.” , before returning to Texas in 2024.
