Creature Commands Episode 7 contains some exciting DCU Easter eggs and references, including some key locations from the original comics. As the first season of the animated DCU show concludes, there are several nods and connections to both previous DC projects and an exciting future. This includes a collection of new and old faces, which are teased in the final scenes of the episode.

With the recomposition of Task Force M in Pokolistan following the events of Creature Commands In Episode 6, the team attempts to kill Princess Rostovic while the truth about Circe’s dark vision of the future finally comes to light.   • “Ghost Rider” – The Bride calls Doctor Phosphorus “Ghost Rider,” the classic Marvel hero with a burning skeleton, to whom Phosphorus obviously bears a resemblance.
  • Nina’s father – Nina’s origins differ from the comics, although her father, Edward Mazursky, is still a scientist and is trying to cure his daughter using the DNA of aquatic animals. On the page, Doctor Mazursky played a key role in the founding of the Creature Commandos (although this is not the case in the DCU).
  • Major comic locations referenced in the DCU – As a child, Nina lived in Star City, home of the hero Green Arrow. Likewise, Star City News confirms the existence of Nightwing’s city of Bludhaven and also references Superman’s city of Metropolis.
  • Weasel can’t swim – It is mentioned that Weasel cannot swim in it Creature Commandssomething that has been hilariously proven in 2021 The Suicide Squad when Weasel died almost immediately by drowning as no one on Waller’s team had checked whether he could swim or not.
  • Mary Shelley’s MathildaThe bride looks at Rostovic’s book collection before killing Ilana and stops Mathilda. This was the book Mary Shelley wrote next Frankenstein.
  • “A sadistic Disney princess” – The bride refers to Illana as “A power-hungry, sadistic, narcissistic Disney princess who wants to destroy the world”. The Disney Princess call-out is quite apt considering that throughout the series Illana has been portrayed exactly like a stereotypical innocent and kind Disney Princess.
  • bat – Francine Langstrom’s She-Bat is introduced as a new recruit for Task Force M. Kirk Langstrom’s Man-Bat’s wife, She-Bat, has appeared in previous episodes of Creature Commands.
  • Aten or Khalis II – A knitting mummy can be seen in the background of Task Force M’s new wing. This is likely either Aten or Khalis II, both DC mummies featuring Creature Commands story on the page.
  • An improved GI robot – Waller then had the GI robot rebuilt Creature Commands Episode 4, albeit with a much larger new body.
  • King shark – First debuted in 2021 The Suicide SquadNanaue aka King Shark is an incredibly fitting addition to Task Force M.
  • Eric Frankenstein is still alive – Creature Commands The post-credits scene confirms that Eric survived his new wounds from The Bride, suggesting he will return in the future of the DCU show.
